Saintliness

I am not a religious person, and have only started getting acquainted with many terms just very recently. It is embarrassing to let leak my ignorance here, but I guess we all learn something new everyday, and I can (and shall) be proud of my newfound knowledge. I had equated saints with the deities of the “more asian” religions all my life, but only recently realise they are totally different concepts altogether! (I’m blushing in deep sheepishness as I type just this one sentence). I had thought saints were ascended masters who descended to earth to pass us messages on how to be virtuous, pious and devout, and of course about who/how/what God is. And that they hang out in the realms of Heavens with Him and the angels.

After much piecing together of snippets of information here and there – mostly through my very pious doctor, and also from the ascended masters themselves – my current understanding is that Saints are like us humans. However, they have a better understanding of God, how to love Him, how to show fellow humans how to love Him, and carry out saintly actions to express that, i.e. being virtuous, pious, devout, etc. So, in a way, depending on how far they have gone on their consciousness journey, they may have ascended (like Saint Germaine!) or they may still be figuring out certain lessons like us humans, but definitely higher up in that consciousness spiral. They also may or may not be humans in their current lives, just like Saint Germaine who was (in) a crystal for the longest time. I guess the whole point of this thing called Life is to figure things out. :s

(Please enlighten me if any aspect of my understanding is lacking… )

The other newfound knowledge I have is about the incorrupt bodies of some saints. Dr Liew used to tell me about that, but I never really knew what he was talking about and only took that as background / peripheral knowledge to whichever topic we happened to be chatting about. AND… drum roll… the major silliness is that… I have actually seen quite a few of them in my travels, but always thought those were… resin models. That is the bane of being an (ex-)architect I guess, I visited cathedrals with a singular focus on experiencing form, space, light, and material, and missed out all the very important highlights.

I do wonder though, if a saint is still on his/her humanly journey, and sees his/her own incorrupt body from eons back, would he/she have any remembrance of it? How would he/she feel?

Hmm. Maybe I should first follow-up on my bucket list of Frenchie places I did not get to venture to in my last trip, and then think further on the above question. Times when synchronicities get a little too uncanny.
