Silent Sevilla

The magic of 6am Silence.

Dad and I took an overnight train from Lisboa to Sevilla. The whole city was magnificently quiet. I remember there was just one other person walking the street. There was daylight by the time we fumbled onto the right way, and I could quietly admire little bits and pieces of architectural elements as we moseyed on to our hostel.

We had so much rest in Lisboa (we did a hop-on, hop-off bus trip for all three days, because I was too tired to walk anymore) that we were both very awake and energetic even at 6am in the morning. No shops or cafes were open. So we strolled in an extremely leisurely pace, and my curious eyes were caught in every little detail of how Nature shines Light on Man’s.

This is one of my favourite photos from travelling. It shows modern day pavement material, with leftover water from Mother Nature’s outburst from maybe the night before? And it reflects the architecture of three different cultures over centuries under different rules.

(Hello 2014 ❤ You make such an amazing turning point in my life ❤ Kthxbye!)

Outstanding photo…deserves to be seen! Well done! Sharing it on Create Space because of its beauty but also as a metaphor for the power of reflection and the benefits of becoming a reflective practitioner!

Me too! The painting is actually a mosaic of tiles, and the girl is a flamenco dancer. This region is where flamenco was born.
