In a parallel universe 14,000km away in the other direction, is yet another Alhambra, and another Granada.

I remember the sleepy morning I woke up early and took the bus to town. It was foggy outside, when I was hoping and looking forward to an ocean view from the coastal bus route. The bright white fog hid the ocean from view, while also adding to the sleepiness. My eyes lit up when I heard El Granada. Ho ho ho, that was the neighbourhood I aspired to walk to one day. The neighbourhood road along the coast is called Ave Alhambra. Ah well, ah well, ah well, that moment really felt like a disjunct reality. Especially with the fog!

Looks different from the place in Spain.

We went there for a very very splendid dinner a couple of days later. So good that …. haha, I gobbled up the food and forgot all about the photos. And then again a week later for yummy brunch and a whole afternoon of sunning at a cafe. Sunny days are happy days. I love being outdoors, in the sun, and it is just out-of-this world to hear the background symphony of sea lions (or seals?).

Back to the parallel universe of Alhambra, Granada in Spain: there too lies a palace of lions (Palacio de los Leones). Stone ones, not sea ones.
