I have been following the entries for many of Cee’s Challenges, and finally mustered my courage to participate instead of merely watching from the sidelines! Here is my entry for this week’s Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Words that end in “ock”.
Puzzle blocks
Clocks
Rocks
Dock
Locks
Stock
Black and white is indeed challenging. Through this exercise, it has brought to my attention that colour plays a large part in our lives, and the intensity of information is kind of lost when things lose their saturation. For example, a rubik’s cube without colour, a spicy hotpot without its potent redness, the love locks on the Pont des Arts bridge losing their colours of passion.
Enjoying colour is an ability that we should not take for granted.
Also a gift we have to be careful not to wield the wrong way.
Excellent post!

The story is that lovers place their locks on the bridge, and throw the keys into the river. The most recent story is that the locks are weighing the bridge down, and therefore the city removed all the locks. 😀
I think it’s good, not just for the bridge but for the riverbed too, imagine all the keys at the bottom. Yikes.

haha nope, no new post for that photo. I don’t like the idea of it, from a city planner point of view. What a waste of resources. 🙄

Your photos for this week are absolutely wonderful. I’ve never seen a skillet that you showed in your last photo. Terrific post.

It is a “hotpot” or “steamboat” where we put in different types of stock, and then cook the raw ingredients (thinly sliced meats and assortments of vegetables) moments before eating. A little like fondue, just that it’s savoury!
