Missing Grid

It is strange when the clock strikes twelve (or whichever time depending on whichever location) and there is nothing to look forward to, cos time has come to a standstill on 31st May.

I have to come up with my own word of the day now! Happened to capture this public square today, and it is heartwarming to see people sitting on the floor. I think too many years in China has made me too finicky about any public spaces. It is also interesting to see how these floor patterns guide human behaviour – each group takes one square and no one infringes on another’s temporal territory. I also do wonder if we can guess the blood type of the person / people based on which part of the square they choose to sit on. I would definitely sit (or stand) right at the corner, in the perfect alignment with the two joined edges of the square.

Today is a really weird day. My stomach is in a mess of knots from this strange queasiness that just wants the me to disappear from the face of earth. No idea what is going on, aren’t we way past the full moon already?

Hopefully going to the ocean on Sunday can be some form of rehab or recovery from this oh-so-oddityodd feeling. Cross fingers and toes.

  1. Curious observation… but there does seem to be an instinctive tendency to mark out and stay within the boundaries of some dark territory. Hmmm…

Yea! Everyone takes the black square, nobody’s on the white! Maybe instinctively they left the white for the people walking. I was probably standing on the white while I took this photo. Subconsciously, maybe I avoided stepping on the black squares since people sit on them.. haha. The subconscious appears to be generating a lot of calculations in the background of my mind. 😀 😀

  2. I like your pattern! Oddly, I have determined to come up with my own daily post prompt and chose “patterns” for today. The public grouping thing is quite interesting!

Maybe we can scour the community and see who else wrote about patterns. 😉 It will be interesting to find out what everyone is up to now that there’s no common magnetic grid.
