Insight

Today’s prompt is Insight, from Cactus Haiku, thank you for your Word and for taking the time to try out widgets to layout the visuals.

My latest insight these few days is that we truly view the world through our own eyes. How we choose to frame this world view ultimately determines how we see the world, and it really is as simple as that. My work-in-progress for the past half a year (at least) has been about erasing pre–judgements – for another simple fact that people do/can change, and people are/can be striving to be better versions of themselves.

Whether the situation in front of me has changed for the better or not, I am not sure. However, reframing my perspective and conscientiously letting go of that “judgement” lenses I was wearing, really does help me see things in more positive light. Seeing things in more positive light does help me turn situations around, or at least tackle them from a favourable level. Many/most people in life do not have a clear focus or direction, therefore, at times it really helps everyone in the situation by picking up the baton and moving forward in what the baton-er deems fit, because that is definitely better than just hovering around and around the same spot. Or sometimes, everyone is just wary/careful/fearful/concerned about what everyone else around is feeling/thinking. It is good to be considerate, but at the same time, if no one is picking up the baton for concern of the guesswork behind others’, then again, we are stuck hovering the same spot.

That is the insight I gained today. That gives me the courage to take on what I believe is right (at least for me) in the big picture of any moment. Well, if it doesn’t, then the next question will be one of communication, because everyone else in the situation has the right to their own voice and it helps everyone to speak up.

On a separate note, but close, I am really thankful for the individuals, in/as a group, that have taken on the baton and set up something that all of us have grown (in a way) reliant on. It really warms my heart to see this, while on the other hand, I know how flakey I can be, so I shall not volunteer my bits… Pardon me for this.

❤ and thanks.

  1. Sometimes it’s hard to be positive in difficult situations, which is normal. However, I truly believe there’s always a light in the dark to help pull us through the toughest of times.
