Eclipse Challenge

Heck. It has been one full week, and I am still on the Eclipse like it is a never-ending story. Bear with me, I’m sure today’s the last post about this latest pair of eclipses. Tsk. If you are suffering the monsoon of emotions like I am, you may want to plot out your personal eclipse story with the materials below, it will help you gain a broader perspective on what-the-heck-is-happening.

A very sweet soul signed up for a course on eclipse, and helped explain to me these many mind-boggling or soul-bothering stuffs that I could not understand at all. It is a little bit like how I am with Mathematics, but astrology is probably much easier because it has less numbers in it.

For a start, this was a video I watched one fine evening, and gave me sleepless nights ever since. One and a half hours! It’s good though. Until I realise that I actually have to tune in to quite a few signs, because it is not just the Sun sign that matters., but also the north and south nodes, and whichever house because of whatever. :/ As with all challenges, I don’t back down until I have solved them. So here is another further article to mapping out my eclipse story – ALL ABOUT ECLIPSES: A GUIDE FOR COPING WITH THEM.

I really don’t like the idea of giving power to this kind of stuff,  but sometimes the whiplashes are so huge and hugely accurate that even if I don’t take them at face value, I find I have to acknowledge their presence in my life.

Somewhere in some material in this astronomical and astrological world lies a tiny sentence that says whatever happens now is linked to whatever happened 19 years ago. Nineteen years. Ow. I normally label these emo sh*ts as worms in the pandora box, but this one makes it a monsoon of nineteen years of worms?! I am trying very hard to hold my footing and not be swept away, or drown. The Coping Guide has this very apt analogy:

You are riding a horse in unfamiliar, beautiful terrain. The horse’s trainer told you that you would have to jump a tall stone fence ten miles down the road. Distracted by the lovely scenery, you completely forget about the fence until it looms suddenly, straight in front of you. It is so much bigger than the trainer let on – this fence is huge. You certainly don’t feel ready to jump, and you doubt you ever will. You cannot imagine going over that fence and surviving! This is a big stretch for you!

Yet, it would be something you wish you could do, but in panic, you try to pull on the reins of the horse to try to stop him. However, the horse has been trained to jump, and before you know it, you are flying through the air over a fence you feel is scary high. Each second you are in the air you feel you are moving in slow motion, for as up, up you go and over the massive stone fence. (Remember I had said earlier, eclipses play with your sense of time.) The horse is doing the jump for you. You land perfectly. The horse is fine and so are you – but you feel very shaky and breathless, and you are counting your fingers and toes. You did it! You feel proud! That is often the experience of an eclipse.

An executive summary of my eclipse story is that I am rebuilding MANY different aspects of my life on the foundation of that old story nineteen years back. Abandoned stories, when life looked brighter elsewhere and I ventured off into deep ravines and to mountain tops, and then (what-the-heck!!) I am back at it now with fresh new pair of eyes to relook at what I had abandoned and rebuilding it with new resources and techniques collected from my wanderings.

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
