Sowed and reaped

前人种树,后人乘凉 is a Chinese saying for the earlier generation sowing a seed for the future generation to enjoy the shade of the tree.

A lovely lovely person recently took this photo of a tree I planted six years ago. It was my height when it entered the soil of the zen garden I constructed (wrote about it here!) and now I cannot even see how tall it is.

Even though I left / ran away, there are still marks left here and there. Haha, I am messy like that.

Do you write Chinese? Here’s the traditional Chinese version to throw in a little more challenge. 😉 前人種樹 後人乘涼
