前人种树，后人乘凉 is a Chinese saying for the earlier generation sowing a seed for the future generation to enjoy the shade of the tree.
A lovely lovely person recently took this photo of a tree I planted six years ago. It was my height when it entered the soil of the zen garden I constructed (wrote about it here!) and now I cannot even see how tall it is.
Even though I left / ran away, there are still marks left here and there. Haha, I am messy like that.
