Ho-Hum

Lil’O is the smallest and youngest being this Chinese New Year, and was thus the centre of attention for the huge family gathering. How huge?

bigfamily

But not nearly as huge as last year’s. We normally hold this on the second day of CNY, but shuffled it forward this year, and hence less attendees this round.

With all the festivities and activities (look at the row of noisy children at the back!), our dear little one somehow still managed to sleep through almost the entire session. My dad sat in that position for the longest time, while the baby koala drooled on, even when his bro and cousins ran around the entire house squealing. He woke up when aunts started giving out angpows (red packets! with $$ inside!!) and held on tight to one of them (we kept the rest). His grip is good, managed to hang out to it all the way till he fell asleep again. Haha, the ho-hum of family gatherings, too boring for the little one.

When he finally woke up again hours later, he was back to his chuckling happy self, and … the crowd gathered again. By then bigbroO was tired and grouchy and it was time to pack up and go home. Packing up = packing tonnes of food, and we spent another half an hour or so distributing all the curries, vermicelli, buns, fingerfoods. Well, most Chinese food places are closed for CNY (and Singapore is 70+% Chinese) so it is good that we have an abundant stock of yummy foodies to tide over the next one day. 😀

Xin Nian Kuai Le, everybody!!! New Year Happy!

  4. Hey,

I’m working on my debut poetry book and preparing a mailing list. Would you like me to add your e-mail address please? If so, can you share it with me?

I don’t plan to do hard-core promotion, I will be e-mailing you privately not through any software.

I will just inform you when it’s available and when there is some huge fluctuation in price (sale etc.), as on WordPress reader, posts get lost in stampede.

I won’t be mailing you more than 4 to 5 times a year, and that’s max. Promise!

And if you want it to share it privately you can do that through contact form on my blog.

    Thank you 🙂
