I want to write about happier things! Let the positive energy override the worrisome ones.
There are still small happy things Mother Nature gives us amidst the rain and gloom clouds.
Yesterday, my next door neighbours called the doubleOs out for a rainbow viewing session! It was gorgeous, and a great chance for educating the young. Ollie exclaimed, “ah-yi, it is still raining”. The drizzle had come into the corridor we were hanging out at. I explained to Ollie that it is only with the rain, that he can see the rainbow. And then went on to explain how a rainbow is formed, and the neighbour was very impressed. 🙂 Yay! She asked how many colours there are in a rainbow and what colours they are. I amazingly still remember all seven colours. YAY! And Ollie still remember them when we asked again later in the evening. Impressive!
This little rainbow is not at all little. Or maybe because my little country is all just that very little. So many friends from different parts of this island posted pics of the same rainbow! I find it touching – maybe I am just melancholic at this point in time – but it feels like Mother Nature telling us that we are all one, and that we can and have to stand together as one.
There are so many ways we can view something – so many different stands and perspectives on something, or even anything. But like any team sports, if we push together as a unified force, there is resilience and we can cover more ground in moving positively forward. Yet if there are too many voices without keeping a macro overview, who are just making helluva noises with their hindsight complaints, or working against the main flow, then it undermines the larger picture.
Scattered sand does nothing. Even if they are shiny and glossy, they are merely shiny and glossy grains of silica.
