This is a real question. Hehe, crowdsourcing for tech help here.
I only very recently discovered there are free images available for us to use in WordPress: Featured image > Pexels Free Photos.
However, there are no credits on the photos – i.e. just a whole catalogue/gallery of images, without information of photographer or creator or year, etc. BUT, I have seen people crediting Pexels’ creators before.
Thus, the help required is… please let me know how/where to find the creators’ info so I can credit them when I use.
It is so convenient to just click and use, that it is also so easy to forget the minds and hands behind them.
It works!!! Insert image here and the credit automatically appears! Thank you Sascha!

When I insert the image, the credit info immediately appears in the caption. Have you tried inserting the image?

I’m glad you found a workable solution from Sascha. I would like to add that you can also visit Pexels.com, search for the desired image (that you had inserted), and select the “Share” button at the bottom of the image. On onscreen dialog box will appear showing you a copyable text string that includes the credit information. This might be a longer route, but it also worked for me. Hope this helps too!
